How we do what we do
No-one knows your business better than you. The first step in designing a successful web site is to gather information. That means questions. Lots of questions. Using the information gathered in the discovery phase, we put together a plan for your web site. Here we develop a site map, as well as sub-topics (if applicable), navigational system, technologies to be implemented, and a list of deliverables. This keeps us accountable.
After we have decided on a plan of action, we send you a contract and invoice. A signed contract and 50% deposit reserve your start date on our schedule. Then the fun part starts. We begin work on the preliminary design. Once complete, you have the opportunity to review the designs, provide feedback or request changes. Based on your feedback, we revise the design. Lather, rinse and repeat until we have your final approval.
Once we've received your approval on the design, we are able to move onto the development stage. This is where we take the design and create the HTML, CSS and jQuery code that will make the site actually work. We'll also load all content into the site and test while we build. This stage takes the longest, how long depends on the size and complexity of the site. Your "in-progress" site is available for you to view in our client area.
After the development is complete, we begin final functionality tests to discover and resolve any issues before the site goes live. It's a short process, but a necessary one. Only after the site is fully tested will you receive the final invoice. We do require final payment of the invoice before transferring everything to your server. Once we receive the balance, however, we immediately transfer ownership to you.

Ah, the million dollar question (No, not literally). This is the single most frequently asked question, though it is the hardest one to answer without more details of the project. Websites th. Based on the budget that you have we can devote more or less time to your project. More time on your project = better results. Regardless how much budget you have we'll be honest and up front with you if your budget is realistic or not. Want to know exactly how much your site will cost? Request a detailed proposal.
It doesn't, really. Like any valuable piece of marketing collateral, developing a website and an identity system are investments in the intellectual property of your company. Websites are a one-time expense, easily updated, and are immeasurably valuable in growing your business. You don't get Burberry quality at Walmart prices.
We typically book projects 2-4 weeks in advance. Please bear this in mind for planning purposes so that we can get your project scheduled as soon as possible.
We accept payments made with Visa, Master Card, American Express and Discover via PayPal (PayPal account not required). We also accept personal / business checks. A signed contract and 50% deposit secure your start date on our schedule. Final balance is due upon completion of the project, before transfer of files to your web server.
Most likely, unless you specifically asked us not to. All projects are undertaken may be used for marketing purposes unless otherwise noted.
There's no exact answer to this, as the time will vary based on the complexity of the project, how quickly you respond to requests for feedback, as well as how large your web site is. For the most part, however, most web sites are completed within 4-6 weeks.
Long answer: design is not a commodity. According to Wikipedia, "a commodity is anything for which there is demand, but which is supplied without qualitative differentiation across a market." In other words, oil is oil. Bread is bread. Cars, on the other hand, have many levels of quality. And, the better a car is, the more it will cost. Your website is an investment, and should be regarded as such.
